Cecily, Updates

January 25 Update

6 Comments 26 January 2010

I’m not sure how many of you have already heard yet but i wanted to inform you that Cecily Carrillo has just been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. She is currently on a missions trip with YWAM in Australia. The only information I currently know is that she had lymph node surgery on her neck last Wednesday. She is flying home next week and will then go to an oncologist where they will “stage” her progress and will figure out what to do from there. I am only writing to everyone and spreading the word so that we can all start praying right away.

The Carrillo family has been through so much. Last year, Mr. Carrillo had a stroke and is still recovering. The same day Cecily had surgery, her dad had a seizure and has been in the hospital and her brother, Jason’s car was damaged by a palm tree from the storms we had.

I’m asking that everyone keeps this family in constant prayer! Thank you so much!

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.” Romans 8:26

Peace & Grace,

Reanna McHugh

***UPDATE!
I got to chat with Cecily on FB for a few minutes tonight. She is flying back to Perth tonight so she will have lots of support back at the YWAM base and she will have Liz. She doesn’t know when she will be coming home yet. They want to do more tests there first I guess. She is very thankful for everyones prayers. I will continue to keep you all updated.

Hey Miss Cecily, I heard the shoking news through Starbuck’s and I wanted you to know you are in my heart and in my prayers. I’ve been through Cancer myself and know how overwhelming it can be, I’ll pray for clarity, strength, peace and wisdom for you. You are in the Lords’s very capable arms.

    Hey Yo –

I thank my GOD every time I remember you – always with joy!
This thing got nothing on yOU, dear. Everything you need, you already have. YES! And I will continue to rejoice, because I know that through prayer and the help given by the Spirit, what has happened will turn out for our deliverance.

May an avalanche of the LOVE of the Creator envelop you, so you inhale it with every breath, may LOVE surge and flourish throughout every cell, and may the PEACE that surpasses all understanding course like a river through your packing and your goodbyes, may it flow all over airport security, the cabin of the plane, your family’s home…
    May LOVE abound!
Yes! And I will continue to rejoice.

    Go Cecily!
